We don’t pretend that the analysis features in ANY-maze are a replacement for a full statistics program like SPSS. Nevertheless, ANY-maze does include over 30 common stats tests which allow you to analyse the results of an experiment very quickly and easily.
For example, you might want to see whether there’s any statistical significance between the time the animals took to find the platform in a water-maze in their last training trial and a ‘treated’ trial, and do this across your different treatment groups. ANY-maze will automatically choose a 2-way ANOVA with one repeated measure for this analysis and you’ll be able to choose an appropriate post-hoc test. With just a few clicks of the mouse you’ll get to see the result with no need to transfer the data, format it correctly, import it into another program, set up all the variables, etc.
