Each ANY-maze licence is attached to a specific copy of ANY-maze, so one licence will only ‘unlock’ one copy of ANY-maze. However, there are a couple of things to be aware of:

  1. You don’t need a licence for copies of ANY-maze that won’t be used to track animals. So, for example, you can install an ‘unlicensed’ copy of ANY-maze on a computer in your office and use it to open experiments and analyse their results. In fact, everyone in the lab can install unlicensed copies on their computers – there’s no limit, and you can just download these copies from here, without even needing to contact us.
  2. We can supply an ANY-maze ‘dongle’ which allows you to share a licence between multiple computers. The dongle is like a USB pen drive and whichever computer has the dongle plugged-in has the license. For example, let’s imagine you have two rooms, one containing your water-maze and the other your plus- You have one computer in each room and you install ANY-maze on both computers. You could then purchase a single licence and a dongle (the dongle does cost a bit extra) and simply move the dongle between the two computers so as to share the licence. It’s important to understand that you won’t be able to run tests on both computers at the same time (as only one of them can have the dongle plugged-in), but if that’s not a problem then this is a great way to share an ANY-maze license.
